Corporate Management Policy

The management of Construcciones Rico S.A., aware of the importance of respecting the environment, the relevance of satisfying the needs and expectations of its clients, the need to implement continuous improvement in occupational health and safety performance, and the promotion of research, development, and technological innovation as tools to increase productivity and business competitiveness, dedicates the necessary resources to ensure that its activities are geared toward this goal.

To this end, we have established an Integrated Management System for Quality, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety, and R&D&I, based on the requirements of the UNE-EN-ISO 9001, UNE-EN-ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and UNE 166002 standards. This system is structured around this policy and based on the following principles:

  • Quality, Environmental Management, Occupational Health and Safety, and R&D&I are strategic elements for the company’s operation, and we are committed to complying with the requirements of the aforementioned standards.
  • We are firmly committed to ensuring that our actions and the projects we undertake comply with legal and other requirements, and to striving to exceed these requirements whenever possible.
  • We are committed to maintaining ongoing contact with our clients and subcontractors in order to collaborate on improving our services, both in terms of product quality and environmental impact, as well as the associated health and safety conditions.
  • We are committed to planning our activities in a way that ensures pollution prevention and environmental protection, based on the Organization’s actual capabilities.
  • We will minimize the environmental impact of our activities, with a particular focus on waste management, following the philosophy of reducing, reusing, and recycling our waste. When this is not possible, we will ensure that our waste is disposed of in a way that minimizes its environmental impact.
  • We will adopt all necessary measures to properly manage the health and safety conditions under which work is carried out, in order to prevent injuries and/or health problems that our employees, subcontractors, or any other person with access to our workplaces may suffer.
  • We will eliminate hazards and reduce risks to occupational health and safety.
  • We will encourage consultation and participation of workers.
  • We will promote employee training and awareness, extending these values ​​to our suppliers and subcontractors.
  • We will maintain constant communication with all affected stakeholders to provide fully transparent information on the company’s environmental management and occupational health and safety practices.
  • We are firmly committed to continuously improving the effectiveness of our Management System by incorporating any new technologies that may arise.
  • We will communicate our commitments to quality, the environment, health and safety, and R&D&I to all our employees and any interested party who requests it.
  • We will create an appropriate work environment so that both field and office personnel are involved in achieving the organization’s objectives.
  • We will champion research, development, and technological innovation as tools to increase the company’s productivity and competitiveness.
  • We will maintain a high level of innovation in our operations, all within the framework of a system of continuous improvement, and through a firm commitment to complying with the requirements of the relevant standard.
  • We will strengthen a policy of protecting and leveraging the results obtained from our R&D&I management processes.
  • We will foster cooperation with external entities to achieve a high level of technological performance and the integration of new technologies into our services.

This policy is communicated within the organization and is available to the public and stakeholders.
